18. The body’s simply a soul. A soul, wrinkled, fat or dry, hairy or callous, rough, supple, cracking, gracious, flatulent, iridescent, pearly, daubed with paint, wrapped in muslin or camouflaged in khaki, multicoloured, covered with grease, wounds, warts. The soul is an accordion, a trumpet, the belly of a viola.

18. Le corps est simplement une âme. Une âme ridée, grasse ou sèche, poilue ou calleuse, rêche, souple, craquante, gracieuse, flatulente, irisée, nacrée, peinturlurée, couverte d’organdi ou camouflée en kaki, multicolore, couverte de cambouis, de plaies, de verrues. C’est une âme en accordéon, en trompette, en ventre de viole.

Un’anima rugosa, grassa o secca, pelosa o callosa, ruvida, elastica, croccante, graziosa, flatulenta, iridata, madreperlacea, sgargiante, coperta d’organza o mimetizzata in cachi, multicolore, coperta di morchia, di piaghe, di verruche. È un’anima a fisarmonica, a trombetta, a pancia di viola.
